DONG Storage has a licence to operate Stenlille Gas Storage Facility in accordance with the Natural Gas Supply Act.
DONG Storage is subject to a number of provisions under the Natural Gas Supply Act, which ensure that the company does not discriminate against or favour other companies in the gas market. This also means that employees who work for DONG Storage must treat information as confidential. DONG Storage has implemented an internal monitoring programme to ensure compliance with the regulation. The programme can be downloaded from the box to the right (in Danish).
Guidelines for Good Practice for Storage System Operators (GGPSSO), which relates to market regulations for natural gas storage, has been prepared in a cooperation between the European regulators, the EU Commission and Gas Storage Europe. DONG Storage endeavours to comply with this at all times. GGPSSO contains requirements that stipulate that DONG Storage must make storage capacity available to third parties and act based on non-discriminatory principles.
The Danish Energy Regulatory Authority supervises the reasonableness of DONG Storage’s prices and terms.
