How to Become a Customer
- The rules and procedures associated with becoming a storage customer at DONG Storage are presented under this menu point.
Storage players wishing to buy storage capacity from DONG Storage, are required to:
i) Register as a storage player in The Register of Players, and
ii) Enter into a Framework Contract with DONG Storage.
These requirements must have entered into force.
The Register of Players is managed by the Danish gas transmission system operator (Energinet.dk Gastransmission). The conditions for registering as a storage player in The Register of Players are specified in Energinet.dk Gastransmission’s Rules for Gas Transport. The conditions for entering into a Framework Contract are described in more detail in DONG Storage’s Rules for Gas Storage, available from the page

Storage players must, in addition to the above, also have entered into a Nomination Contract and a Storage Contract with DONG Storage before they can act as a storage customer (i.e., inject and withdraw natural gas from the gas storage).

Contractual framework under this menu point. Storage customers that only require the use of interruptible capacity, are not required to enter into a Storage Contract with DONG Storage.
