The two Standard Bundled Units (SBUs) offered differentiate in terms of flexibility but cover identical storage periods (1 May 2011 - 30 April 2012). The auction will be held as one auction with a switching opportunity between the two SBUs.

Announcement of Rules for Gas Storage 6.0

DONG Storage has published its new Rules for Gas Storage. Rules for Gas Storage (RfGS) version 6.0 commence as of today, 22 March 2010.
The rules are available on our website (www.dongenergy.dk/dongstorage), including appendices and a comparison between RfGS 5.0 and RfGS 6.0.

Expectations regarding the sale of storage capacity this spring

Sale of capacity on short term
In April we expect to offer 40-60 mcm on one year contracts for the coming storage year: 1 May 2010 to 30 April 2011. A more accurate estimate of the volumes offered is expected to be announced in late March, when a volume expansion and well loggins have been carried out, and negotiations with the TSO regarding storage capacities are concluded. However, the size of the offered capacity will depend on a successful expansion project.
Sale of capacity on longer terms
This spring/summer we expect to offer storage capacity on longer term contracts (5-10 years) for a period beginning with storage year 2012/2013 . The exact amount of capacity offered to the market is yet to be decided, since it will depend on expected market demand and customer reactions. Our current expectation is to offer between 80 - 160 mcm to the market.
The sale of capacities will be announced in due time for new customers to be registered with DONG Storage and participate in the sale. However, in order to register with DONG Storage and participate in the sale, customers must be registered in the Register of Players, administrated by Energinet.dk.
Firm withdrawal capacity via FCFS

As of today DONG Storage offers spare firm withdrawal capacity on negotiated terms in accordance with the First Come First Served principle. The withdrawal capacity is offered for the entire/part of the remaining storage year. A total of 800.000 kWh/h of withdrawal capacity is being offered.
