*Dependent on the utilization of the firm capacity
The setting of the price for firm capacity is dependent on the sales mechanism used. If DONG Storage sells storage capacity in an auction, then the prices reflect the auction result, whereas the price in tenders or sales according to the First Come First Served principle is set by DONG Storage (where a market price is aimed at).
The prices for interruptible capacity are published each year before the start of the storage year (1 May). These prices are specified in the table above at any time. Storage customers only pay for actual use of interruptible capacity. The price of interruptible capacity is a unit price per kWh injected into or withdrawn from storage or per stored kWh per hour.
Storage customers should be aware that in addition to the capacity charge, there is a variable charge per kWh for the volume actually injected. The variable charge is specified in the table above.
DONG Storage's repurchase of stored gas
DONG Storage repurchases stored gas, for example in connection with expiry of contracts whereby the storage is reset. The repurchase price is 50 % of the TTF price.
The TTF price is calculated as a simple average of the calendar month's daily day-ahead index at the TTF in The Netherlands (simple average of bid and offer as published by ICIS Heren). Indices of the month which the repurchase of stored gas concerns are used. The TTF price is converted from EUR/MWh into DKK/kWh using a monthly average of Danmarks Nationalbank’s daily mean rate of exchange.
Transfer
There is no fee on transfer handlings in DONG Storage.
