What we offer

Firm capacity

Firm capacity is offered for sale through auctions and tenders and offers in accordance with FCFS. The method which is used for the sale of firm capacity is announced on DONG Storage’s website and notified to all storage players registered as such in The Register of Players.
DONG Storage offers firm capacity in standard bundled units (SBUs) and as unbundled capacity. Standard bundled units (SBUs) and unbundled capacity are usually offered for a storage period of minimum one storage year (1 May to 1 May the following year). The composition of a SBU can vary from one sale to another. Unbundled capacity is offered when DONG Storage has available excess storage capacity.

Please note that only players registered in The Register of Players who has entered into a Framework Contract with DONG Storage will be provided with access to firm capacity.

Under the menu point How to become a storage customer, the process of registering as a storage customer in The Register of Players and the process of entering into a Framework Contract with DONG Storage are described.

Interruptible capacity

DONG Storage sells unused (firm) storage capacity based on interruptible conditions. Access to interruptible capacity is set in the Framework Contract between the storage customer and DONG Storage. The storage customer must specify in the Framework Contract the maximum interruptible capacity which the storage customer wishes to be able to nominate per hour.
All storage customers can, on request and without additional payments being required, be provided with access to interruptible capacity in their Framework Contract.

Interruptible capacity is continuously sold (on an hourly basis) to customers, so that storage customers pay for interruptible capacity when it is allocated to the storage customer. When a storage customer nominates (and is allocated) more injection or withdrawal than the contractual firm capacity, the excess capacity will be considered to be interruptible injection or withdrawal capacity.
